How to Enable Windows Projected File System in Windows 11

Windows Projected File System is a powerful feature in Windows 11 that allows users to access files stored remotely on another device as if they were stored locally. How to Turn on Windows Projected File System in Windows 11?

  1. Click on the Start Menu and open the Control Panel.
  2. Switch the Control Panel view to Category.

  5. Windows Features dialog box will open now.
  6. Search and locate the Windows Projected File System from the list of services available.

  7. Click on the checkbox next to it and then click on OK.
  8. Windows 11 will search for the required files.

  10. The system will prompt for a restart. Continue with Restart now. It is recommended that changes made to the system reflect while using the environment. Click Close.
