<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Method 5: Using Command Prompt:</h2>

<p>If you&#8217;re comfortable using the Command Prompt, this method will be the best and easiest way to find the IP address with just one command.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Firstly, you need to use the <code>WinKey +R</code> keyboard shortcut to launch the <strong>Run Window</strong>.</li>

<li>Now, you need to enter the following command <code>cmd</code> and hit the <strong>Enter</strong> button. </li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="456" height="272" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/explorer_8YVT209Wpa-1.webp" alt="Opening Command Prompt using Run Window" class="wp-image-1928" title="Opening Command Prompt using Run Window" srcset="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/explorer_8YVT209Wpa-1.webp 456w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/explorer_8YVT209Wpa-1-300x179.webp 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 456px) 100vw, 456px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Opening Command Prompt using Run Window</figcaption></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Now the <strong>Command Prompt window</strong> will appear on your screen.</li>

<li>In the command prompt, you need to enter the following command <code>ipconfig</code> , and it will display all current <strong>TCP/IP network configuration values</strong> and refresh <strong>DHCP</strong> and <strong>DNS</strong> settings.</li>

<li>Now, you need to look for the <strong>IPv4 Address </strong>under your active network connection (e.g, Ethernet adapter or Wi-Fi adapter).</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="593" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/cmd_LQRW7A1H6g-1-1024x593.webp" alt="Finding IP Address using ipconfig command" class="wp-image-1930" style="width:708px;height:auto" title="Finding IP Address using ipconfig command" srcset="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/cmd_LQRW7A1H6g-1-1024x593.webp 1024w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/cmd_LQRW7A1H6g-1-300x174.webp 300w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/cmd_LQRW7A1H6g-1-768x445.webp 768w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/cmd_LQRW7A1H6g-1.webp 1103w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Finding the IP Address using the ipconfig command</figcaption></figure>

<p>Note: You&#8217;ll see several network adapters listed, but focus on the one you are currently using. The &#8220;IPv4 Address&#8221; is your IP address, which is a unique identifier for your device on your local network.</p>

<p>As you can see in the image, you can find your device&#8217;s IP address displayed under the &#8220;<strong>Connection-Specific DNS Suffix</strong>&#8221; category.</p>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Method 6: Using PowerShell:</h2>

<p>If you have a good understanding of using PowerShell in Windows, I recommend using this method. A PowerShell command will provide you with all the details, including the IP address.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Click the Start Menu button, and in the Search Bar, you need to type <strong>PowerShell</strong>.</li>

<li>Click the open button to launch the PowerShell window on your screen.</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="940" height="627" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/chrome_37pQZjkYjU-1.webp" alt="Open PowerShell from Start Menu" class="wp-image-1959" style="width:690px;height:auto" title="Open PowerShell from Start Menu" srcset="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/chrome_37pQZjkYjU-1.webp 940w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/chrome_37pQZjkYjU-1-300x200.webp 300w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/chrome_37pQZjkYjU-1-768x512.webp 768w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 940px) 100vw, 940px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Open PowerShell from the Start Menu</figcaption></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Now, you need to enter the following command <code>Get-NetIPAddress</code> and hit the <strong>Enter</strong> button.</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="593" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_zPLh0rtRfF-1024x593.webp" alt="Entering Get-NetIPAddress Command in PowerShell" class="wp-image-1960" style="width:706px;height:auto" title="Entering Get-NetIPAddress Command in PowerShell" srcset="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_zPLh0rtRfF-1024x593.webp 1024w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_zPLh0rtRfF-300x174.webp 300w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_zPLh0rtRfF-768x445.webp 768w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_zPLh0rtRfF.webp 1103w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Entering <code>Get-NetIPAddress</code> Command in PowerShell</figcaption></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Now the PowerShell provides a detailed list of network configurations, making it easy to find the specific IP address you&#8217;re looking for.</li>

<li>You need to scroll down a bit to find the IP Address of your WiFi device connected to your pc as shown in the image below.</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="569" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_UhjrHDItMx-1-1024x569.webp" alt="View Connected WiFi IP Address using PowerShell" class="wp-image-1962" style="width:734px;height:auto" title="View Connected WiFi IP Address using PowerShell" srcset="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_UhjrHDItMx-1-1024x569.webp 1024w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_UhjrHDItMx-1-300x167.webp 300w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_UhjrHDItMx-1-768x427.webp 768w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/powershell_UhjrHDItMx-1.webp 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">View Connected WiFi IP Address using PowerShell</figcaption></figure>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Method 7: Using System Information Tool:</h2>

<p>This is the final method to find the IP Address, and this method uses the system information tool, which offers an overview of your <strong>system&#8217;s hardware</strong> and <strong>software configuration</strong>, including <strong>network details</strong>.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Use the shortcut Winkey + R to launch the Run Window on your screen.</li>

<li>Now, you need to enter the command <code>msinfo32</code> and hit the Enter button to launch the System Information tool window.</li>

<li>You need to expand the <code>Components &gt; Network &gt; Adapter</code>, This section lists all network adapters on your system, along with detailed configuration information.</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1351" height="914" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_JgSDmtDGqC-1.gif" alt="View IP Address from System Information Tool." class="wp-image-1968" style="width:638px;height:auto" title="View IP Address from System Information Tool."/><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">View IP Address from System Information Tool.</figcaption></figure>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Scroll through the list to find your network adapter&#8217;s IP address. This method provides an in-depth look at your network adapters, including IP addresses, MAC addresses, and more.</li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="693" src="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_AZYqIiSI0N-1-1024x693.webp" alt="IP Address listed in the System Information Tool." class="wp-image-1970" style="width:650px;height:auto" title="IP Address listed in the System Information Tool." srcset="https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_AZYqIiSI0N-1-1024x693.webp 1024w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_AZYqIiSI0N-1-300x203.webp 300w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_AZYqIiSI0N-1-768x520.webp 768w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_AZYqIiSI0N-1-220x150.webp 220w, https://winsides.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/msinfo32_AZYqIiSI0N-1.webp 1351w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">IP Address listed in the System Information Tool.</figcaption></figure>
