Go to the Task Manager. If you are using Windows 11, you can either use the the key combo CTRL + ALT + Delete, or you can just right-click on the taskbar and click Task Manager.
Under Processes, click on Run new task. Create New Task dialog will open now.

Enter the command chkdsk and click on the checkbox “Create this task with administrative privileges“. Click OK.

Run CMD or PowerShell as Administrator and run chkdsk

This is an indirect method to run chkdsk as administrator. Since chkdsk will not run normally, this method can be beneficial if you want to run chkdsk as administrator on Windows 11.

You can either you Command Prompt or Windows PowerShell. For explanation, I will use Command Prompt.

Run Command Prompt as Administrator.
User Account Control will prompt for confirmation and open Command Prompt as Administrator.
In the CMD, type the command chkdsk and click Enter.

The above command will check the OS installed Disk if not mentioned specifically. Mine is Disk C and named as OS.

Alternatively, if you execute the following command chkdsk C: /f /r

This command will check the disk drive C. /f Parameter denotes Fix, and /r parameter denotes Recover.
